We will be having a “No Gas March” from 6 to 7 PM downtown on N 14th Street or North Main Street in McAllen. If you want to use your feet, bikes, non-electric scooters, skateboards, skates, anything is welcome so long as it does not require fossil fuels. We will march to Archer Park where we’ll have an earth-friendly pachanga with free food, live music, and live art. If you are a musician or an artist, please come by! We’re open to anyone joining in. We will also be collecting signatures for a letter/petition to give to our local upper-valley leaders on Monday.

The reason I urge y’all to either get involved with the event, spread the word, or just go for a little while is because here in the valley our calls for moving away from fossil fuels have not been loud enough to reach our city leader’s ears. This event is our opportunity to let them know loud and clear the direction we want our community to move in. The cleaner direction (duh)!

Want more info? Want to help out? Want to play some music, bring food, or do some art? Email us at: eac.org@gmail.com or call (956) 648 - 8831

PLEASE REBLOG Y’ALL!

Please keep reblogging this everyone, let the whole Valley know!

Fire crews continue to battle several fires across Central Texas Tuesday. Winds are expected to be lighter today, but low humidity could help flames spread quickly, forecasters say. There is no chance of rain.
